Notes:
  • This is not an ‘official’ album. So there is no official art work. I created the art work for it; you can right click and save the images!!
  • These are “Demo” Tracks
  • Every track on this album is a different version than the ones that appear on IGW or The Wolf.
  • This is the myth of this album however none of it is factual: It is claimed that this album was recorded and instruments were performed solely by Andrew W.K. In attempt to recruit a live band he sent this demo to many musicians. It contains 10 tracks that were eventually redone and ended up on either “I Get Wet” or “The Wolf”, and 2 tracks that remain exclusive to the album. So really this could be considered the “I Get Wet Demo” or “The Wolf Demo” because they predate both albums and the actual tracks were never used for those releases. The album has nothing to do with the song “We Want Fun” it just shares the name. Nothing is known about the original source except the fact that it has floated around the internet via ‘underground’ fans for some time. Fact: “Readytodie” a moderator at the official forums eventually ‘leaked’ the album publicly in this forum thread. Perhaps by Andrew’s permission?
(The first and second paragraphs kinda contradict each other at parts but their two different/the same THEORY with some mixed up facts.
  • Again, not fact but interesting: Supposedly in 2000 before Andrew W.K. got popular and everyone knew him (relative) he thought about taking on an alias (definition: “noun: a false name used to conceal one’s identity; an assumed name”) of “Steev Mike”. While he was on “Bulb Records” he released the EP “AWKGOJ” on Oct 12, 2000 – Wiki. Some time in between October 12, 2000 and December 31, 2000 his second EP was released tittled “Party Till You Puke”. For some reason he eventually released both of the EP’s under “Andrew W.K.” and not “Steev Mike”. During the gap between Oct 12, and Dec 31, 2000 the official Steev Mike/Andrew W.K. Bulb Records website Here, was written. It claimed that even though AWKGOJ was already released under “Andrew W.K.” (picture at the bottom of the page), the EP “Party Till You Puke” was to be released as Steev Mike the same month (Oct). We don’t know if it was released that month but obviously it was never released under Steev Mike. Which brings us to the album at hand. The page advertises a full length album to be released January 2001 titled “We Want Fun” by Steev Mike. So that is two EP’s and one full length album in just four months! Perhaps this was an attempt for a big promotional push by Bulb/Andrew? Whatever it was, it worked. For whatever reason the “Steev Mike – We Want Fun” album was never released that January. Andrew W.K. did catch the eyes of Island Def Jam though, he signed with them and released I Get Wet Nov 13, 2001 as “Andrew W.K.”.
  • - The reason I don’t believe that web page to be completely factual is that the fact that AWKGOJ had already been released under Andrew W.K. but the site still presumes “Party Till You Puke” AND “We Want Fun” was to be released by “Steev Mike”. That doesn’t make sense.

  4. Dave Dave says:

nevermind, i’m dumb as hell. sorry.

  5. dickalan dickalan says:

The reason I created a password was kind of selfish. The place that ‘hosts’ the file has a ‘network’ and I didn’t want it available all over THEIR network, I wanted it available only through here. Sorry for the hassle. AGAIN the password IS whatdowewant

[WORDPRESS HASHCASH] The poster sent us ‘0 which is not a hashcash value.
